How can I get motivated to lift weights or go running?

December 26, 2011 No Comments

When you have decided that you need to work out, sometimes it can be hard to get motivated to actually follow through with your plan and get to the gym. Take the time to sit down with a piece of paper or even with a notebook and outline the top five or ten reasons why you want to become more fit or in shape. Use them as your motivation. Other ways you can get motivated is to get a subscription for fitness magazines where you can read success stories, get helpful tips for dieting and nutrition and look at the pictures of the people you may want to look like in the long run. Another great way to get motivated is to make use of a friend or family member as a workout buddy. That way, they can push you when you are making excuses not to work out. Ultimately, if you commit to doing something, do everything you can to accomplish it, no excuses.
