Best way to target a lower ab workout?

December 3, 2011 No Comments

There are a number of ways to target a lower ab workout, from crunches to waist bends, but there’s something you need to know: as important as a lower ab workout is the lower back workout. When people put too much strain on their front ab muscles, it puts pressure on the back muscles. That’s why many people who exercise their abs a lot suffer from back pain. Every day you work on your ab workout, you should be pairing it up with a back workout as well. Many people are looking for washboard abs or a six pack, but the truth is that you cannot target those muscles without putting your back muscles at risk–unless you work on your back as much. So whichever lower ab workout you choose, whether it is the abdominal machine at the gym, sit-ups or twists, you have got to focus on your lower back too.
