The best thing for this could be a personal trainer or someone who can get you motivated to working out hard. You should get in a good mix of cardio and weight training but weight training is not a must if you do not want to use weights. Cardio work involves running and other types endurance training. Swimming is one of the best ways to do this because it is great cardio and relieves pressure on your joints, which is great for everyone.
